South central has a couple of good things. A good thing of it is the art in it. It has a lot of great art. South central can also be improved in having no gangs. Living in South central is alright, it’s not that bad. The same thing in going to school.
The first event that has made South central what it is today is the early history of Watts. It’s an important event since they made the projects for the ship workers. The kind of people that used to live their were the Blacks, Japanese, and Whites that worked on making ships for the war. The Japanese left though since the U.S was grabbing Japanese and placing them in camps until the war of Japan and the U.S finished. Since that happened their were only Blacks and Whites living in Watts.
The Watts riots have made South Central what it is today. It was an event that occurred due to no justice. The Black residents of Watts protested and rioted against the police. When that happened the Whites and a few rich Black residents of Watts left. They were scared and leaving mostly Blacks in Watts.
An other event that has made South central what it is today is the gangs. They have transformed South central in what it wasn’t supposed to be. The gangs were to fight the wrong things that the white gangs try to bring into South central. Once the gangs that were trying stop the white gangs, new gangs formed. This new gangs were not the same as the original gangs. This gangs made South central even worse.
These events have made what South central is today. They have transformed it into what it wasn’t to be over the time. In future it can get better or worse. I do not know how it will be. It all depends on whatever choices we make.
